Terms of Service

By accessing or using BimaShastra (“the platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are accessing the platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

BimaShastra is a professional B2B platform intended exclusively for:

• Licensed insurance agents and advisors operating in India.
• Insurance company employees including development officers, branch managers, and trainers.
• Individuals preparing for the IRDAI IC38 licensing examination.

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. Personal use by retail customers seeking insurance advice is not permitted.

BimaShastra is an educational and knowledge reference platform. It is not:

• A licensed insurance broker, intermediary, or distributor.
• A source of guaranteed premium quotes or policy illustrations.
• A substitute for official insurer documents, policy wordings, or IRDAI guidelines.

All content on BimaShastra — including AI-generated responses, product summaries, and comparison data — is for professional reference and training only. Always verify critical information with official insurer materials and IRDAI publications before advising customers or making business decisions.

BimaShastra IC38 practice questions and mock exams are created for training purposes. Passing a BimaShastra mock exam does not guarantee passing the official IRDAI IC38 examination. Certificates or badges issued by BimaShastra are recognition of platform activity only and carry no regulatory standing with IRDAI or any insurer.

The BimaShastra AI assistant is powered by Google Gemini and is designed to answer insurance and finance questions for professional users. You acknowledge that:

• AI responses may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Always verify with primary sources.
• The AI assistant is not a licensed financial advisor. Its responses are not personal financial advice.
• Do not input personal customer data, Aadhaar numbers, PAN, or any sensitive information into the AI chat.
• BimaShastra reserves the right to rate-limit or suspend AI access to prevent abuse.

You agree not to:

• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security controls.
• Use automated scripts or bots to access or scrape the platform.
• Share your account credentials with others.
• Use the platform to engage in mis-selling, fraud, or any activity that violates IRDAI regulations.
• Reproduce or redistribute BimaShastra content commercially without written permission.
• Use the AI assistant to generate content for third parties in a way that misrepresents its source.

All content on BimaShastra — including the Knowledge Bank, IC38 question bank, learning modules, product comparisons, and platform code — is the intellectual property of BimaShastra or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the platform for your professional development.

Content drawn from publicly available IRDAI publications, insurer websites, and regulatory documents is used for educational purposes and attributed where required. If you believe any content infringes your rights, contact us at legal@bimashastra.com.

The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. BimaShastra does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content is complete, current, or accurate. Your use of the platform is at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BimaShastra shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or reliance on any content or AI output. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use shall not exceed the amount paid by you to BimaShastra in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is lower.

You may delete your account at any time from your Profile page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately and your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance.
